To kick off the festival, WOVEN will be hosting a World Stitch Day on 1st June at Oakwell Hall, where community groups, stitchers and anyone passionate about textiles is invited to showcase their skills and share their heritage. It’s also your chance to see The Red Dress and hear from artist Kirstie Macleod in a special talk about the project
Arts Council England have funded events celebrating communities with floral festivities at the Chestnut Centre and Ravensthorpe Community Centre.
Our much-loved yarn bombing trail is back showcasing a colourful explosion of creativity across the district. Will you discover them all?
