Rowan Yarns are kindly supporting the Big Rainbow Knit. Three Rowan designers – Lisa Richardson, Martin Storey and Chloe Thurlow – have created a set of square patterns for our project. We would like to maximise the use of these wonderful designs by launching an exclusive competition, with a chance to win a prize donated by Rowan.
We are inviting you to choose one (or more) of the Rowan designs to create an original garment, fashion or home accessory. The patterns are based on a 30cm square and are available to download HERE.
Cushions, table runners, bags, purses, scarfs, snoods or whatever you fancy making are all possible with a little bit of adaptation and creativity. It will also be a lasting souvenir of the project. To be in with the chance of winning please submit up to three different images (angles) of your creations to us at WOVEN by 18th June along with your name and a contact telephone number.
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges including Stuart Hillard (Quiltmaker and star of the Great British Sewing Bee), Sandra Nesbitt (Big Rainbow Knit) and Lisa Richardson (Rowan). The winning design will be announced and displayed on the Big Rainbow Knit weekend of the 26th and 27th June for all to see.
Finally, the winner will win the yarn to make a garment featured in the latest Rowan collections. An amazing prize and a great opportunity to be part of something very special.
