Common Threads – How Textiles Bind Us Together

An Exhibition of textile artworks inspired by local and ethnic fabrics.

This exhibition explores local and global links of textiles over the centuries and in the modern world. Using fabrics sourced locally in the Holme Valley, alongside those from around the world. The art demonstrates how common threads can unite us. Work in the exhibition has been created by “Holmfirth Cloth Botherers”, a group of textile enthusiasts, who have met fortnightly at a local community hub for several years.

This venue is both a home and art gallery. Your hosts will show you around and explain the artworks. Small parties are encouraged to visit. Please respect the timber floors by not wearing stiletto heels. Visitors may also stroll around the garden and take refreshments on the patio.
