Craftivist movement co-founder Sarah Corbett visits Huddersfield this weekend to share her own unique brand of activism. Clear your mind at this one hour workshop for a mindful crafting session at Cafe Ollo on Saturday 15 June 3-4pm and create your very own stitch-able changemaker to take home.
On Saturday evening at Batley Library, Sarah will be sharing her craftivist journey and telling us how doing activism differently has lead to real positive change. Come and hear stories of how her slow, quiet and intimate form of activism using handicrafts (mostly hand embroidery, cross-stitch and paper-craft) has helped change government laws, business policies as well as hearts and minds. You can also get your copy of ‘How to be a Craftivist – the art of gentle protest’ by Sarah Corbett.
