Bringing the Community Together with Beautiful, Bold and Brilliant Bunting!

Bunting decorating a gazebo

Unite, Respect, Connect and HD5 Community Hub have a super-sized mission for this year’s WOVEN Festival – to create the longest bunting Kirklees has ever seen!

How are they going to do this? By bringing communities together at bunting-making events across Kirklees, from workshops for International Women’s Day, crafty coffee mornings, a washing line of hope, plus more. All the individual pieces of bunting created will be joined together in one big, bold, and beautiful piece of bunting.

Join one of their workshops to create your own fabric piece and be part of this giant collective art project, to be displayed in all its glory at WOVEN 2025 in June.

No stitching experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Activity starts in March with something for everyone.
