WOVEN 2025, themed Connecting Communities, was funded by Kirklees Council, Arts Council England, and West Yorkshire Combined Authority. The festival welcomed over 26,000 people across 130 events from community organisations, venues, local artists, schools and the textile industry, showcasing the district’s legacy and innovation in textiles.
By connecting culture through textiles, it empowered communities, celebrated diversity, and highlighted the rich textile history and contemporary scene of Kirklees.
