Get Involved - WOVEN 2027 Programme

WOVEN is your festival and, as in previous years, we’d love to hear about any textile-themed events you, your group or your organisation would like to be part of the programme.

The theme for WOVEN 2027 is POWER!

POWER gives us the chance to explore so much – from our industrial heritage and the energy that drove the mills, to the power of the people within them, from the Luddites to the women’s strikes.

POWER and protest come through strongly too, from suffrage banners to today’s Reclaim the Night marches using textiles as a powerful voice for women.

We can also celebrate the power of the communities that bring WOVEN to life, and the way craft connects and inspires people.

There’s power in transforming our surroundings too – through yarn bombing and other creative interventions. We want 2027 to be our biggest year yet!

Most of all, we can’t wait to see what the WOVEN community comes up with.
