We are a community interest group and part of Sewing Café Lancaster.
We grow plants for dyeing and printing in our dedicated dye beds at Claver Hill – a community growing space.
Our aim is to reconnect textiles with the soil, source and grow plants most suited to our environment and best for helping us to upcycle our clothes. We enthusiastically develop our skills in applying colour to textiles and hold workshops, sharing our knowledge in dyeing, eco printing and tataki-zome.
We follow the no dig approach with our beds and aim to process our plants with minimum energy and water.
LOCATION: Claver Hill Community Farm, Ridge Lane, Lancaster LA1 3JY
OPEN TO PUBLIC: Yes. However, to view the Natural Dye Beds specifically, it is best to contact us and we can arrange to be there to show you around.
