​Stories Through Stitch – The Calico Dress

Join us for the opportunity to create a stitched patch for the Kirklees Calico Dress and be part of this story of Kirklees.

​This drop-in workshop is open to all ages and abilities. It’s a chance to slow down and explore wellbeing, identity, self-expression, and a sense of place and belonging through hand stitching. Using simple embroidery and appliqué techniques, participants will create small, patch-sized stitched stories inspired by the themes of the Calico Dress. All the patches will later stitched into the dress , which will be exhibited at WOVEN 2027.
