Opening of Flockton’s Textile Woodland Installation

Since the beginning of the year Flockton WI ladies have been working with the community to create a wonderfully wide variety of leaves, soft mosses, beautiful ferns and enchanting woodland creatures.

All the items have been produced using textile skills such as crochet, knitting, embroidery and needle felting cumulating into an interactive display for all ages.

Follow a short woolly woodland trail, admiring the overhanging ferns and mossy undergrowth whilst looking out for the hidden creatures who fill the enchanted forest.

On open day there will be a chance to purchase gifts/preserves/plants from the craft stall, try your luck on the tombola, raffle and competition stalls and relax with some tasty refreshments.

The installation will also be on display in the church grounds until the end of June 2025
