Hand Tufting Industry Workshop

This is your unique opportunity to learn the Hand Tufting technique using a tufting gun, and contribute to a collective wall hanging.

The workshop will be run by Andrew Warburton, from Area Rugs and Carpets, who will guide you through tufting lines into the canvas using a hand gun.  Your work will be incorporated onto the stretched canvas of the tufting frame, resulting in a one-off wall hanging created collectively with your fellow workshop participants.

Andrew who has been working in tufting rugs and carpets for over 35 years after graduating in Carpet Design. He has always operated in Kirklees, which is central to the Heavy Woollen District, with all of the yarn suppliers and dyers located nearby.
