Flower Bombing in the Village – Meltham style

Come and see celebrate the spectacular flower bombing of our Village using all forms of yarn and fabric crafts!

The Meltham Textiles Group is planning a spectacular floral inspired textile installation for the WOVEN in Kirklees festival, to be displayed across Meltham throughout June. We intend to decorate the whole village with handmade flowers using all fabric and yarn techniques.

We will be bringing the community together with a series of workshops to create the hundreds of flowers to realise our vision. This will result in beautiful floral displays that will be hung from lamp posts, in shops and across our village. This is the second project we have undertaken as a village, successfully creating the Meltham Community Quilt last year which will be on display during the event too.

Meltham is a hidden gem, nestled between Holmfirth and Slaithwaite. If you haven’t visited our lovely village before it is easy to find us, just hop on the 324 bus from Huddersfield.
