Femme Sole: This Woman’s Work

This talk summarises Jennifer Moorhouse’s creative research surrounding a Femme Sole and her relative association with seamstresses, textile workers, and artists in West Yorkshire, particularly throughout the late Medieval period. Drawing on companionship and economic independence, this talk aims to explore the context and movements that shaped the Medieval textile industry.
