Exploring Kirklees’ Textile Heritage

This is your opportunity to explore the fascinating textile related collections held by West Yorkshire Archive Service and Kirklees Local Studies Library, and go behind-the-scenes of the archives to see how the collections are preserved. There will also be knowledgeable staff on hand to give advice on conducting research into local textile businesses – you may even find out about ancestors who worked in the mills.

No need to book, drop in anytime 12-3pm.

Please note: the ground floor of the building is fully accessible but visitors wishing to go on a behind the scenes tour will need to climb a flight of stairs.
