Beginners Fabric Coiling Workshop

Join Carolyn of Mindful Maker to learn the mindful craft of spiral fabric coiling. This craft involves wrapping strips of fabric around a core (in this case recycling plastic bags ) and hand sewing / binding together to create shapes like coasters, baskets and bowls. It’s a great way to use up left over fabric scraps and yarns from other projects. This technique, for some, can be a little tricky as requires a moderate level of manual dexterity.

A variety of examples will be available for inspiration, showing what you could go on to make using the technique. From earings, necklaces, bags and baskets there are lots of potential uses to develop with this mindful craft.

All materials are provided with guided hints, tips and demonstrations throughout the session.
