On the 8th of June 2019, people all over Kirklees celebrated Worldwide Knit in Public Day with THE BIG KNIT.
The Big Knit was an opportunity for us all to share skills, get creative and have a cuppa, by joining in with events run in our local area.
It saw the whole of Kirklees work together to make impressive knitted creations called yarn bombs, that filled the streets with colour.
The whole day was a celebration of the waterways of Yorkshire, with a collaborative centrepiece in Batley that was created with the support of Connor Shields (YSP resident artist).
