Even when there’s no big festival happening, there’s often lots of textile events happening across Kirklees.
We will be using fabric lace, leaves and fabric wood blocks to create a porcelain trinket bowl and feature buttons.
This is a workshop to explore delicate texture from the theme of growing, and of course textiles and colour. Using a beautiful smooth porcelain clay we will be adding stains to highlight your designs. It’s not a workshop to mass produce but a lovely gentle and mindful process of discovery using high quality porcelain materials.
Everyone will be able to make 1 small trinket bowl and 20 buttons each included in the cost. Additional items will be charged at a small cost for additional porcelain and firing costs.
Please do feel free to bring your own textured fabrics and leaves from plants you love but we will be providing them so don’t worry if you don’t have any.
This event is part of the WOVEN community programme. If you have any questions please contact The Clay Mill directly.
