Celebration of Paddock Textile Heritage – Textile Banner Display

Celebrating our rich heritage and the legacy of the place that we live and work, by the creation of community banners.

Paddock has a has a rich history in the textile industry, particularly in woollen and worsted cloth manufacturing. The area’s unique soft water, often described as having ‘magical powers,’ Together we can be proud of all that Paddock stands for.

The project involves schools, community hubs and residents in, and around Paddock, each creating a banner from textiles representing what the textile history in Paddock means to them.

See the community display of all the textile banners on the 30th June – 1st July in the Jubilee Centre, Paddock. Free to attend.
