Beyond the Basics of Natural Dyeing (Kirkburton)

This practical session will introduce you to natural dyeing and will include those aspects that often pose a challenge [or brick wall] to natural dying. This session though will show that it is accessible, can be straight forward and for many, is what makes this field of creativity so engaging. So, we will be looking at natural dyeing prosses from plants to powders, mordants, scouring and modifiers.

We will discuss the viability and use of natural dyeing in communities, for the individual and how we may embrace its properties for development into products for our home or to wear.
