DESCRIPTION:Let your imaginations run wild in the garden as we make fantastic flowers from willow withies (or rods) in the sunshine\, and then add colour to them using threads\, strips of fabric\, beads\, buttons and whatever else takes your fancy! Don’t worry if the weather isn’t on our side\, as we can move indoors if necessary. \nThis lovely\, laid-back session is suitable for all ages (children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times please.) If you have any buttons\, beads\, or scraps of fabric at home that you would like to incorporate in your flowery artwork… please bring them along. \nWe’ll have cups of tea\, cold drinks and plenty of biscuits to keep your energy levels up as we craft our way through the afternoon! \nThis is a FREE event\, but please make sure you book via contact@s2r.org.uk \nThis event is part of the WOVEN community programme.

DESCRIPTION:Unite Respect Connect-Huddersfield and HD5 Community Hub have worked together to involve residents of all ages in sewing\, stitching\, sticking\, printing\, drawing\, knitting crocheting (and everything in-between)\, a brilliant bunting bonanza which will be displayed in the Community Garden at Moldgreen URC during June. Each bunting “flag” is unique\, just like our community …. and together they are amazing! \nFrom the Church on Old Wakefield Road\, right up to the Post Office ’round the corner on Broad Lane – keep an eye out for some colourful “woolly wonders” decorating the street furniture\, trees and maybe some surprise locations too! Made with enthusiasm and love by members of the Knit and Natter group at MURC\, community crafters and wool whisperers! \nWe hope you have a Wonderful WOVEN festival – Come and see us!
