ABOUT: I love passing on practical and heritage sewing and craft skills to the next generation. While these skills are useful, they also can provide mindfulness, community building and dexterity. I focus on using sustainable materials and a creativity led approach.
TEXTILE PRACTICE: I run technique led sessions with open ended outcomes following the attendees creativity. Sessions include rag rugging and its heritage, darning, visible mending, sashiko, boro, patching, embroidery techniques, bargello, punch needle, book binding, batik, print making, kumihimo braiding, basket making, macrame and more. I can also do more bespoke sessions tailored to different subjects, such as a session I did for a school based around creating daffodils and tassels for a coronation event.
