Do Everything In Love

In our school over the past few years, as part of our Iron Age topic, we have foraged for our own natural ingredients in the school grounds to dye cloth with.

WOVEN has given us the wonderful opportunity to finance what will be a well established dye garden, planting flowers, fruit and vegetables to provide longevity with this activity and encourage wildlife.

The garden has been created and developed by our After School Gardening Club who are nurturing it with love and care. This links strongly with our school vision Do Everything In Love

UPDATE 2024
We harvested the beetroot, fruit and marigolds to aid our dye making process / Iron Age topic in our Year 3 Art and Design lessons. I think the wealth of rain has helped the growth spurt in some of our specimens’!

We now have an ‘extension’ flowerbed that has been facilitated by our Thrive practitioner, focussing on the wellbeing of pupils.
