WOVEN’s programme of talks, workshops and performances took place across the district and included:

  • a special performance from Kate Fox of Where There’s Muck There’s Bras
  • Ripping Yarns films produced by Creative Scene
  • a performance of a specially commissioned piece of music, Woven Into Song, that connected the stories of economic migrants from the industrial revolution and from South Asia in the 20th Century
  • a craftivism workshop from Sarah Corbett
  • textile recyling print workshops from West Yorkshire Print Workshop
  • a mill and industry soundscape from HOOT

Hoot Creative Arts have created soundscapes inspired by the industry of textiles. The work has been produced by the two Digital Music groups ‘Tech-Know’ and ‘Art of Noise’, which are both weekly workshops for adults with concerns about their mental health.
