DESCRIPTION:Meltham Quilters is a diverse group of people who came together three years ago to make quilts for young people as they leave the care system and move into independent living. This is part of a nation-wide project; Quilts for Care Leavers  \nDuring our Open Day we will demonstrate the whole process of making a patchwork quilt from start to finish. We will showcase different techniques\, the “tools of the trade” and our resources. \nWe will provide some simple kits for you to try; either with hand sewing or with one of our machines. \nWe will also have some of the quilts that we have made on display for you to have a look at\, touch and feel. \nYou could combine your visit to our Open Day in Meltham to see the Village flower bombing installation that will be around for the whole of June. \nMeltham is a hidden gem\, nestled between Holmfirth and Slaithwaite. DESCRIPTION:This is Anne’s first solo exhibition showcasing the work she has been stitching in her studio\, Shed 76 1/2. \nWhole : Hole is about how we mend and repair the holes in everyday life that in turn make us Whole. \nAnne is passionate about sharing her love of stitch and you are invited to come along and stitch with her during the exhibition\, either on your own project or the collaborative piece Anne will be working on during the exhibition. \nThe exhibition opens on Friday 24 May 5-8pm\, and then is open from 28th – 31st May and on the 14th and 28th June. \nBOOK YOUR PLACE – the exhibition is free to visit\, but donations to the MS society would be appreciated.
