Pocket Clothing Open Studio
June 22 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Ever wondered what it looks like ‘behind-the-seams’ of a Slow Fashion label? Clothing designer-maker Holly Carr invites you to join her for a tour of the pocket studio.
pocket is an independent, handmade clothing label based within Bates Mill – one of the original wool spinning mills in Huddersfield. Everything is designed, cut and sewn in-house at the studio, using reclaimed and repurposed materials. During the tour, you’ll be able to see where all this takes place, find out about the tools and equipment involved and learn more about how clothing is made. It’ll be a rare opportunity to glimpse the inner workings of garment manufacture and see a local craftsperson in their natural environment.
Booking is essential. Please book your place HERE.
The studio is on the top floor of the building, up four flights of stairs.
