Hill Tree Park Yarn Bomb

Hill Tree Park is a park home community of 200 people over 50 in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield

We have a weekly knit and natter group which we hold in the local golf club (saving fuel bills as well as providing social contact). We feel we epitomise sustainability as we have learned how to keep going through COVID, through current economic hardship and through knitting items for a local charity, Santa’s Seniors, which provides Christmas gifts for older people who are isolated or have no family.

We have a small post box on site which we are going to top and we will be yarn bombing the trees along the road side with bunting, so our display is quite small on the boundary of the park and is visible from the road to passers-by.
