Dye, Weave, Stitch

A display of natural dyeing on fabric, fleece and yarn.
The display will explain the dye-making process and show the results on fabric, yarn and fleece. It will show what can be obtained from garden plants, from foraged materials in the local environment and from kitchen supplies.
The examples of yarn and fabric will demonstrate the ratings of colour that can be achieved and also explain the various processes.
Open Monday 10am-1pm, Wednesday 10am-6pm, Thursday 10am-1pm, Friday 10-12, Saturday 10-12

Demonstrations and opportunities to have a go at visible darning, cloutie rug making, patchwork, and creating simple clothes for children. Refreshments available.

Tue 27 & Thu 29 June: Two Day ‘Borrowed From Boro’ Stitch Workshop
Make a Boro-style wall hanging or a landscape collage using natural dyed and recycled fabrics.
Booking is required as places are limited to 10.
