WOVEN is a ground up festival that is built through consultation with the textiles community of Kirklees. We worked with over 50 different partners throughout the pilot festival in June 2019, but we’re aware that there may be people, groups or organisations that we have not made contact with yet.
If you would like to receive information about planning sessions or other opportunities to get involved please email us at woven@hatchprojects.org.uk with some brief information about you or your organisation and we’ll get you added to the correct mailing list.
Here are some details below about our first Open Planning Meeting for WOVEN 2021 to which anyone is welcome to attend…
On Thursday 16 January from 6pm – 8pm we will be holding the first of a number of WOVEN 2021 Open Planning Meetings at Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield to gather and share information and ideas.
Please register your attendance HERE
We’re now in the early stages of thinking about WOVEN in 2021 and are keen to make the planning and development process as transparent and accessible as possible, to everyone involved in the pilot festival in June 2019 and to anyone new who would like to get involved for 2021.
As a result we will be holding Planning Meetings (open to all) roughly every three months to which anyone can bring general thoughts and ideas for WOVEN generally or plans for specific projects.
Each Open Planning Meeting could include:
- A presentation to highlight a key stand of festival content
- Updates from the curators
- Opportunities to present or talk about your projects and ideas as well as make connections and ask for any support you might need
- Informal opportunities to network with other WOVEN partners
Future meetings will be in different locations so that we aren’t always asking everyone to travel to Huddersfield.
If you have ideas or plans already and no-one can represent you or your organisation at the meeting, please email us at woven@hatchprojects.org.uk and we’ll be in touch.
